Natalie met Alex Daly a nurse from Manchester earlier this year in Romania whilst filming The Lost Orphan. The two are planning to build a home for Mirela and 11 other children just outside Slatina in the South West of the country. So far the girls have secured the land, planning permission and some funding. They are still looking for more financial and logistical support. If you would like to help please contact them on info@nataliepinkham.com You can see more on Alex's work in Romania by visiting www.closetoyouassociation.org click on the 'En' option in the top left hand corner of the homepage to translate it into English.

Nat and Alex will keep you posted with regular updates on the home's development, which they hope will itself be the subject of another documentary in early 2012.
